susan's mint cookies

0.75 cup butter
1.50 cup dark brown sugar
2 Tbsp water
2 coups chocolate chips
2 eggs
2.5 cups flour
1.25 tsp soda
0.5 tsp salt
andes mints

original directions:
like, mix everything together, chill, bake at the magically oven temperature. add andes mints to the top of the cookies, allow to melt, and spread the minty mixture around evenly.

"real" directions:
Melt the butter, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Add chocolate chips and stir until almost melted. Remove from heat and stir until smooth. Pour chocolate mixture into a mixing bowl and let cool for 10 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add all dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough into balls and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not overbake!! While still on the baking pan, put 1/2 of an Andes mint on each cookie, allow to melt and spread evenly.
